San Juan Winery has a long-standing tradition dating back five generations. The winery pioneered the old Monte Lentiscal appellation of origin with its Don Juan Rodríguez Quegles and Viña Mocanal wines. Today, the winery has incorporated every modern measure to ensure quality and hygiene and is drawing on past experience to transform itself into an environmentally-friendly winery.
The winery’s philosophy is based on making high-quality artesanal wine while minimizing the use of machinery in the process of growing the grapes and preparing the wine. We hope to convey our love for the land, for the product, and for the wine-making tradition in every bottle. And we also hope that the time invested is reflected in a high-quality natural flavor.
The Listán Negro and Negramol grape varieties are combined to make a volcanic red wine with an intense red color and clean, bright violet rims. On the nose, it has a lightly toasted aroma, thanks to the fact that it is stored in French oak barrels. On the palate, it is persistent, evocative and balanced, with a very pleasant fruity flavor. The wine has a 12% alcohol content, which makes it easy to drink and gives it body and personality. Our wine is presented in a dark, Burgundy-style 75cl glass bottle with natural cork capped with silver sealing wax. All this is handmade.
